Becker, M.N. – Yesterday, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) visited Northern Metals Recycling, an industry-leading metal and scrap metal recycling company. In 2019, Northern Metals transferred its recycling operation to a new facility in Becker.

Emmer also met with Northern Metals Chief Operations Officer Scott Helberg to discuss the company’s compliance efforts.

Becker, M.N. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) hosted a roundtable with over a dozen Minnesota leaders and energy producers to discuss H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives late last week.

“Minnesotans have been shouldering the burden of anti-energy policies in the form of skyrocketing costs on home heating and other essentials. We must allow our producers—at home and across the country—to do what they do best and restore our energy independence,” Emmer said.

Rockford, M.N. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) visited Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association. The tour was part of a day spent with energy producers and stakeholders from the Sixth Congressional District.

Otsego, M.N. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) announced that his office would begin accepting registrants for the 2023 Young Women’s Leadership Program. Since 2016, the program has connected high-school-aged girls in the Sixth Congressional District with local women leaders for guidance and mentorship.

Washington, D.C. –  Today, the House of Representatives passed the Lower Energy Costs Act with bipartisan support. The bill earned support and recognition from the Minnesotan community, energy, trade and agriculture groups.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Majority Whip Tom Emmer (MN-06) introduced the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BCRA), which affirms that blockchain developers and service providers that do not custody consumer funds are not money transmitters. This bipartisan bill is co-led by Representative Darren Soto (FL-09).

Otsego, M.N. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) met with Patti Gartland to congratulate her on her retirement after ten years as President of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation.
