Our farmers, producers and ranchers work hard to keep our shelves stocked with food and other essentials, but they need our support. Challenges like workforce development and high input costs have put stress on Minnesota’s farmers and threatened the industry’s future. This is why in Congress, we:

Over the past few years, the men and women of law enforcement have faced increased hostility and violence and worked under repeated budget cuts. Our law enforcement officers sacrifice so much to keep our communities safe, the very least we can do is stand behind them.
Here is some of my most recent work to support our law enforcement officers:

Providing access to mental health treatment has become more important in recent years. During the COVID pandemic, lockdowns and isolation worsened existing mental health challenges, with students and children most impacted. A recent study reports that 37% of students struggled with their mental health during lockdowns, and one quarter of respondents had contemplated suicide in the 30 days prior to completing the survey. Last year alone, 30% of teenage girls surveyed by the CDC reported seriously considered suicide.

Investments in transportation infrastructure will help keep Minnesotans and our state’s economy moving for generations to come.
Congress must continue to prioritize long-term, targeted transportation funding for needed infrastructure repairs and improvements. We must also ensure that American tax dollars are being utilized effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, we must reform the infrastructure permitting process so that these critical projects can move forward.
