A diverse array of entities in Minnesota, such as port authorities, are currently authorized to sell tax-exempt bonds to fund projects that contribute significantly to communities; An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rule proposal could halt funding for these projects. In a letter to the Treasury Department and the IRS, Klobuchar, Franken, and members of the Minnesota congressional delegation called on the agency to ensure that any new rule does not harm the ability of Minnesota’s political subdivisions to provide vital community services.

Otsego, MN – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) announced that he will be holding his seventh town hall of the year. This town hall will be held in Stearns County. 

When Congressman Emmer first took office, he promised the fine folks of Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District that he would remain transparent, accessible and accountable. That is why during his first year of office, Congressman Emmer held a town hall in every county within Minnesota’s Sixth District, and plans to do the same this year.
