Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer hosted a roundtable with key small business stakeholders to discuss House Republicans’ commitment to supporting small businesses across America. Minnesota small business leader and CEO of Blaine-based Lorenz Bus Service, Mike Canine, also participated in the discussion.

The roundtable comes during National Small Business Week, a time to recognize the investment, hard work, and determination of American small business owners and celebrate the major role they play in the U.S. economy.

The winners, Suditya Singh of Blaine and Muskan Singh of Eden Prairie, developed Tiny Thinkers, an application that uses videos and quizzes to help children with autism develop social and emotional skills.

Washington, D.C. – Last night, Congressman Tom Emmer’s Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act passed out of the House Financial Services Committee markup and was reported favorably to the House floor, an important step toward passing the legislation through Congress. The legislation, which is supported by 114 of his House Republican colleagues, would prevent unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. from issuing a central bank digital currency (CBDC) that would undermine Americans’ right to privacy.
