Minnesota - Representatives Tom Emmer (MN-06), Jim Hagedorn (MN-01), and Pete Stauber (MN-08) issued the following statement ahead of Governor Walz’s pending announcement on the status of Minnesota’s current stay-at-home order:

"During today’s weekly Congressional delegation conference call - and as his Administration reviews the health and economic data prior to tomorrow’s anticipated announcement - we urged Governor Walz to allow the current stay-at-home order to expire in full on Monday, May 18, 2020.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the St. Cloud Regional Airport a grant of $1,092,430. The funds are provided as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, and will go towards economic relief as well continued infrastructure operations and maintenance. The airport continues to remain open, has taken additional safety precautions, and serves as a vital connection to deliver emergency supplies and additional cargo to combat Coronavirus.

Washington, D.C. - Following Congressman Tom Emmer’s (MN-06) letter calling on the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to provide flexibility for employers who continued paying their employees during the COVID-19 crisis, the IRS this week issued guidance allowing employers to qualify for the Employee Retention Credit under varying state and local guidance and recommendations.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06), Congressman Jim Hagedorn (MN-01), Congressman Dusty Johnson (SD-AL), Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05), Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) and 48 additional members sent a letter to President Donald Trump requesting improvements to pork producer aid offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). Additionally, the letter requests support by opening up existing programs for pork producers.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the Anoka County-Blaine Airport a grant of $425,000 for the rehabilitation of three separate taxiways to provide for additional and enhanced lighting. This grant will provide for the safety necessary to support this airport.
