Elk River, M.N. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) hosted a roundtable discussion with farmers, ranchers and producers at Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River, Minnesota. The purpose of the listening session was to solicit input from key stakeholders in the agriculture industry ahead of the 2023 Farm Bill.

“Over the past several years, our farmers have stepped up in the face of workforce shortages, high gas and fertilizer prices and seemingly endless supply chain delays to feed America,” Emmer said.

“As we draft this year’s farm bill, it is essential that we listen to the challenges our ag community faces to most effectively serve them. Thank you to the dozens of Sixth District farmers who participated in our listening sessions and provided helpful insights,” Emmer concluded.

Today’s listening session was the fourth in a series of events hosted by Emmer’s office this spring to receive feedback from the Sixth District’s agricultural industry.
