“Today’s vote was yet another missed opportunity to advance non-partisan solutions for the American people. Speaker Pelosi continues to prioritize a partisan wish list over the needs of the businesses and families working to weather the ongoing COVID crisis. Her ongoing efforts to federalize our elections and defund our police stand in the way of needed reforms to the Paycheck Protection Program and liability protections for businesses who are trying to keep our economy afloat during this critical time. Moving forward, I can only hope House Democrats will change their tactics so we can recapture the collaborative spirit that brought us the CARES Act and additional COVID relief legislation earlier this year.”
