The Congressional Art Competition is an annual competition for high school students across the United States. The winner from each district wins the chance to travel to Washington D.C. to visit with their Representative and see their artwork displayed in the Halls of Congress.

“The Congressional Art Competition provides a great opportunity to showcase the work of our young artists,” Emmer said. “We are continually impressed by their talent and hope this annual tradition inspires more Sixth District students to pursue the arts. Congratulations to Elizabeth on this impressive achievement!”

Elizabeth is a ninth grader in Holly Madison’s art class at Saint Cloud Christian School in Saint Cloud. She is the daughter of Mr. Jeffrey Johnson and Dr. Julie Johnson.
