WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, along with Representative Tom Emmer, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Buffalo Municipal Airport a grant of $180,000 for infrastructure improvements.

“Our 21st-century economy demands a 21st-century transportation network,” Klobuchar said. “This grant will provide critical support and help to the Buffalo Municipal Airport to make necessary infrastructure upgrades to improve safety and continue providing Minnesotans with reliable air service.”

“The Buffalo Municipal Airport is important to businesses in the region, and it supports good jobs,” Franken said. “This grant will allow the airport to make smart investments that will keep the facility operating in an efficient and safe manner.”

“Investing in our infrastructure is crucial for Minnesota's future success," Emmer said. "I'm pleased Buffalo is receiving this grant for improvements so they can continue their quality service in the West Metro."

This grant will allow the airport to rehabilitate its access road and parking lot.
