Rockford, M.N. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) visited Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association. The tour was part of a day spent with energy producers and stakeholders from the Sixth Congressional District.

“Minnesotans depend on affordable, reliable energy from providers like Wright-Hennepin every day,” Emmer said. “We are grateful for their hard work to ‘keep the lights on’ and will continue our effort in Congress to bring down costs for the Sixth District.”

Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility that has provided power to rural Wright County and western Hennepin County since 1937. The cooperative now serves more than 50,000 accounts in the region. As a member-owned cooperative, members are represented by an elected nine-member board. Any profits earned by the cooperative are returned to members in the form of capital credits. Since its founding, the cooperative has returned more than $30 million in credits to members.
