Washington, D.C. - Today, the House of Representatives considered and passed Congressman and Majority Whip Tom Emmer’s (MN-06) flagship legislation, the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act. 

In a vote of 216 - 192, the House of Representatives passed Emmer’s bill that would prohibit the Federal Reserve from issuing a surveillance-style central bank digital currency (CBDC) that could give the federal government the ability to monitor and control individual Americans’ spending habits.

The Securities Clarity Act marks a significant step forward in providing market certainty for innovators and clear jurisdictional boundaries for regulators.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) announced that five Minnesotans from Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District have accepted U.S. Military Service Academy appointments. Three will attend the United States Air Force Academy, one was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point, and one will attend the United States Naval Academy.

WASHINGTON— Today, the House of Representatives passed six appropriations bills for fiscal year 2024. The package funds twelve major infrastructure projects for roadways and water treatment in the Sixth Congressional District, priorities Congressman Emmer fought for during the government funding process. The legislation now moves to the Senate before being signed into law.

Ilhan Omar’s (MN-05) recent visit to the university where she applauded the pro-terrorist, antisemitic protests happening at colleges across the country.
