Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressmen Tom Emmer (MN-06) sent a letter to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) expressing concerns about the delay of the appropriate use criteria (AUC) program implementation.

There is no faster-growing threat to the health and safety of young Americans than the rise of fentanyl. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine, and it is both highly addictive and easily deadly.

Washington, DC— Today, House Financial Services Committee Ranking Republican Member of Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Tom Emmer (MN-06), House Financial Services Committee Republican Leader Patrick McHenry (NC-10), House Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) and Representative Morgan Griffith (VA-09), sent a letter to PayPal President and CEO Dan Schulman.

Emmer said, “Ongoing restrictions at our Canadian border are not supported by science or necessary for public health. They should have ended long ago.”

“Our service academies produce some of the best and brightest young men and women that serve in our armed forces, and I am honored to assist them with the nomination process,” said Emmer.

We know that every Minnesotan is feeling the pressure of these high prices. Eggs are up 39.6%, milk is up 25.6%, bread is up 16.2%, and food at workplaces and schools is up 23.7%. Sadly, this has led to Americans skipping meals and going hungry.
