Emmer and Sherburne County Veteran Participate in House Leadership Veteran Stakeholder Roundtable

Wednesday, December 3, 2025

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) participated in a Veteran Stakeholder Roundtable with members of U.S. House leadership and former Sherburne County Veterans Service Officer Bruce Price. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee Mike Bost (R-Ill.), and members from Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) joined Emmer and Price to discuss legislation impacting the veteran community.

“Bruce’s selfless service to Minnesota’s veterans and their families is commendable,” said Emmer. “His years of dedication and advocacy on behalf of Minnesota’s veteran community have made a lasting impact on so many. House Republicans will continue pushing legislation that gives veterans and their families the care and assistance they’ve earned.”

“I am honored to represent Minnesota’s veterans and to join Congressman Emmer and members of House leadership at the roundtable discussion highlighting policies supporting veterans,” said Price. “Thank you to Congressman Emmer and his colleagues for their continued work to stand with veterans and ensure we have excellent and accessible health care and resources.”

Background

Bruce Price served in the United States Army for 24 years prior to serving his fellow veterans and their families for nearly a decade as the Sherburne County Veterans Service Officer (VSO). As the Sherburne County VSO, Price partnered with Emmer and his office to provide assistance and service to local veterans.

Standing for our nation’s veterans is a top priority for Congressman Emmer. In July, he introduced the nonpartisan Veterans Burial Accountability Act to eliminate needless delays in veteran burials. This commonsense reform ensures that no veteran's family will be denied closure – or forced to endure uncertainty – when burying one of our nation’s heroes.
