East Lake Netta Drive Street Reconstruction Project

Funding Requested: $3,000,000

Total Project Cost: $3,950,000

Project Summary:

This project includes street reconstruction of East Lake Netta Drive in the City of Ham Lake from Constance Boulevard (CR 60) to Crosstown Boulevard (CSAH 18). The project goal is to improve the safety of the roadway by removing the tight corners, obstructed views, and increasing pedestrian safety.

Background Information:

East Lake Netta Drive is proposed to have a bike path installed along the entire length of the roadway. The path will connect the existing county trail along Crosstown Boulevard and the future county trail along Constance Boulevard. There is a considerable number of pedestrians who use this roadway for recreational activities such as walking and biking, as well as children who use the roadway to walk to and from school. With the existing tight corners and obstructed views, it becomes a considerably dangerous roadway for pedestrian traffic.
