City of St. Augusta Water System Improvement Project

Funding Requested: $15,000,000

Total Project Cost: $20,000,000

Project Summary:

This project would provide improvements to the City of St. Augusta’s water tower, water treatment plant, and wells. These improvements will help St. Augusta become independent of the St. Cloud water supply and help plan for additional economic growth in the future. The system currently serves a large portion of the city and with projected growth it will be unable to handle the increased use.

Background Information:

The project will provide an efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable solution to longstanding operational challenges experienced by St. Augusta's water system. It will also provide growth opportunities for small communities by expanding the city’s tax base commercially and residentially.
