City of Sartell Water Capacity Project

Funding Requested: $4,500,000

Total Project Cost: $9,000,000

Project Summary:

This project would update the City of Sartell’s water capacity to allow for additional growth. The City of Sartell current infrastructure holds enough capacity for treatment of the water and well capacity but there is not enough storage capacity for the increased demand from new businesses. This will require the city to add water transmission lines to the system to store more water and leverage the available capacity in our water treatment facilities and wells. This involves the construction of multiple new water transmission lines to facilitate the increased capacity demands.

Background Information:

These infrastructure improvements will help adjust water capacity levels and allow for additional economic development and growth. Establishing additional operations in the community will create high-quality jobs, attracting additional investment and strengthening the local tax base. This can only be done through investments in infrastructure to meet the water capacity demand.
