322nd Street Regional Corridor Improvements Project

Funding Requested: $6,750,000

Total Project Cost: $7,500,000

Project Summary:

This project would be for the construction design, right of way acquisition, engineering, and construction of roadway improvements. 322nd Street defines the future boundary between the cities of St. Cloud, Sartell, and St. Joseph. Determining the future alignment and advancing construction of an appropriately designed road will ensure vehicular and non-motorized traffic safety of increasing travelers through LeSauk Township, St. Wendell Township, and developing sections of the City of St. Cloud.

Background Information:

The proposed improvements will provide safety benefits to an undersized roadway that carries significant regional travel. The existing roadway has 5-ton weight restrictions and will be reconstructed to meet MSA standards of 10-tons. This design, and typical preventative maintenance, will ensure that the investment put into the corridor will provide a quality roadway that heavy vehicles can safely and reliably travel throughout the lifetime of the new roadway.
