Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) welcomed United States Department of Agriculture Deputy Secretary Stephen Censky to Minnesota where he announced two ReConnect Broadband funding awards. Following the announcement, Congressman Emmer issued the following statement:

"Broadband is a critical piece of America’s infrastructure and an integral part of our daily lives. Minnesotans deserve access to high-speed, affordable broadband, and in no place is this more pronounced than in our rural communities," Emmer said. "Closing the broadband gap will unleash the economic potential of our small cities and towns in fields like agriculture, education, and even health care. I applaud the commitment of Deputy Secretary Censky, Minnesota State Director Brad Finstad, and the entire USDA rural development team and will continue to support programs like ReConnect that expand access to broadband throughout Minnesota."
