Share Your Experience with the National Flood Insurance Program
While not a coastal state, as the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota has more shoreline than Florida, California and Hawaii combined. This fact makes flood insurance a must for many homeowners in our state. The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is responsible for providing insurance for properties in risk of flooding, but unfortunately, with an annual 1.4 billion dollar deficit, this program has not been preforming to the best of its ability.
